ADA JANE GEORGE, age 92, passed away from aspirational pneumonia at home in Asbury with her daughter Bonnie Jean and son-in-law Doug on February 7, 2019. Ada enjoyed living with them for over 10 years. Prior to that Ada was born in Philadelphia and grew up and married her childhood sweetheart in Kenilworth, NJ. After marriage, Ada and Roy resided at Peter Circle, Clark Township, NJ for 61 years. She raised their son Timothy and daughter Bonnie Jean there.

Recently before Christmas last year her beloved husband Roy passed away after being married for 71 years. Ada worked as a Bell Telephone Operator in Cranford, NJ while raising their son. When Bonnie was born and started kindergarten Ada was then employed by the Clark Township Board of Education as the cafeteria supervisor serving lunches daily for the next 28 years. Ada made sure no child went hungry and always got a hot lunch every day often paying for the government lunch program out of her pocket. She treated each student with dignity and love as if they were her own. She was equally popular with the faculty and always made sure the teacher’s lounge had their hot coffee and tea twice a day with some special treats.

When Ada retired and her daughter moved to Asbury in Warren County Ada enjoyed quilting with her and became a member of the Courthouse Quilters of Hunterdon County for several years. Ada and Roy continued to travel to Vermont and the Outer Banks, NC with friends for many years.

In 2010 Ada needed assistance in living and she and Roy moved in with their daughter and son-in-law. Bonnie took over caring for her beloved parents and they enjoyed watching the abundant wildlife and visiting bears that often passed thru their land outside Ada's very window.

Ada is survived by her loving Son Timothy Edward George and his wife Carol of Naples, FL and step grandsons Frank, Chris and Joseph Farese. Daughter Bonnie Jean George Rusch and son-in-law Douglas. Her cherished grandchildren Roy Edward George II and his wife Amy and their son Ryan George. Abigail Lynn George Ott and her husband Christopher OTT. Her former loving daughter-in-law, Diana Lynn George. Ada's loving neighbors and friend the entire DiDomenico family of Peter Circle and Stives family of Coldevin Road.

A special memorial service will take place on May 9, 2019 honoring Ada & Roy George together forever the day they married for her family and friends. Special details will be mailed out in April.
