Thomas P. Kelmartin, Sr., 91, of Clark, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation at the Walter Johnson Funeral Home, 803 Raritan Rd. Clark on Monday, August 19 from 4 - 8 pm. On Tuesday, the Funeral begins at the Funeral Home at 9:00 am, thence to St. John the Apostle Church, Clark, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm. Doyle Cemetery, Wrightstown.

Mr. Kelmartin was born in Baltimore, MD to Thomas and Mary (Doyle) Kelmartin, both immigrants from Ireland. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the Army. He was in the 6th Infantry Division and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal Japan. He was based in Kwangju, Korea.

Mr. Kelmartin was the NY District Sales Manager for Land O Lakes Creameries for 27 years, retiring in 1992. He was the Director of Public Safety in Clark for 4 years and was an Honorary Member of the Clark Fire Department. At St. John the Apostle Church he was a leader of song and a Volunteer for the St. Vincent de Paul Society for 37 years. In Clark, he was also a member of the American Legion Post #328 and the Knights of Columbus Council #5503.

Mr. Kelmartin was awarded “Irishman of the Year” in 2012. He enjoyed being on his boat “Irish Ayes” and traveling, especially the three cruises he took with his family. Of course his favorite holiday was St. Patrick’s Day.

Mr. Kelmartin was predeceased by his beloved wife June Vivian (Elste) Kelmartin. He is survived by his devoted children, Patricia Lettini and her husband Ron, Colleen Yesinko and her husband Steve, Thomas Kelmartin, Jr. and his wife Suzanne and Keith Kelmartin and his wife Karin; his cherished grandchildren, Brian Lettini and his wife Stacey, Christopher Lettini and his wife Kristen, MeganWilson and her husband Keith, Daniel Yesinko and his wife Caitlin, Ian Kelmartin, Peter Kelmartin, Erik Kelmartin and Patrick Kelmartin; his great grandchildren, Katelyn, Benjamin, Grace, Samantha and Emmett and his sisters, Mary Brocato and Ann Kelmartin.
